LKO ComSat II (Archive)

^^ Craft Information - Orbital Update - Return to Operations ^^

The second LKO ComSat to be lofted into orbit did not fare much better than the first, running out of electrical power in low orbit thanks to losing all its solar panels due to G-forces on ascent. A visit from Captain Bob fixed the satellite up in order for it to become fully operational.

Every now and then Mission Control needs to tweak the orbits of all or at least two LKO ComSats to account for drift in the craft orbit moving them out of optimal position to remain in constant connection with each other.

Its orbital data has been updated to account for a 4-month operational gap as the KSA was shutdown due to government audit
